Precision in Progress: The RSG Maintenance Team Perfects Huey Blades

Jul 22, 2024 | RSG News

Our RSG Aviation Overhaul Team has been laser-focused on a critical task: aligning the 212 main rotor hub and blade assembly to ensure perfect blade sweep at the zero-centerline mark. By employing laser technology, we achieve pinpoint accuracy in adjusting the drag brace assemblies, enhancing the traditional methods involving strings or rifle scopes.

Wesley and Tom have meticulously performed the final torque on the drag brace fitting and clevis, a crucial step prior to mounting the assembly onto the aircraft.

Meanwhile, team members Brandon and Austin have been diligently securing the main rotor flight controls, gearing up for ground run.

These precise adjustments are vital to minimize lateral vibrations during rotor track and balance, ultimately aiming to cut down run time, labor, and fuel costs for our customers.

At RSG, it’s not just about maintenance; it’s about elevating the standards of aviation service.
