JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structural Technician

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Comply with all safety regulations and procedures while performing work.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, manuals, and specifications to determine layout requirements.
  • Mark outlines or patterns on materials, using measuring instruments and scribes.
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and punch and drill presses, to cut, bend, block, form, punch, drill, or otherwise shape parts to specifications.
  • Operate soldering equipment to join sheet metal parts.
  • Smooth edges and surfaces of grooves or joints, using hand tools, power tools, files, or chemicals.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and tolerances, using precision measuring instruments.
  • Provide accurate diagnoses and repair of structural discrepancies noted.
  • Install structural fittings such as bulkheads, formers, stringers, ribs, frames, and other components.
  • Install insulation materials such as fiberglass or polyurethane using and or power tools.
  • Repair dents, cracks, or other damage to the aircraft’s skin using appropriate hand tools.
  • Repair holes in aircraft skins using patch materials such as aluminum, composite materials, or plastic materials such as fiberglass cloth or synthetic resin materials.
  • Installing, repairing, and replacing aircraft skins, structural components, and interior furnishings such as insulation, carpeting, vinyl flooring, soundproofing materials, seats, paneling, and paint.
  • Keeping detailed records of all repairs and work performed on the aircraft in accordance with the repair station guidelines

SKILLS:

Machining:

Aircraft sheet metal mechanics use machining skills to operate and maintain metalworking machines. These include lathes, milling machines and drill presses. They use these machines to cut, shape and form metal parts.

Welding:

Welding is the process of joining two pieces of metal together. Aircraft sheet metal mechanics use welding to repair and modify aircraft parts. They also use welding to create new parts for aircraft.

Fabrication:

Fabrication is the process of creating something from scratch. Aircraft sheet metal mechanics use fabrication skills to create tools and parts for aircraft. They also use fabrication skills to repair and modify existing parts.

Inspection:

Aircraft sheet metal mechanics use inspection skills to assess the condition of aircraft parts and determine if they need repair. They also use inspection skills to ensure that the aircraft parts they install are working properly. This involves testing the parts and monitoring their performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an FAA-approved sheet metal mechanic program
  • 3+ years’ experience as a sheet metal mechanic, with at least 2 years on aircraft
  • Working knowledge of blueprint reading, geometry, and trigonometry
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
  • Familiarity with aviation maintenance manuals

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a sheet metal mechanic, with at least 2 years on aircraft.
  • Experience working on commercial or military aircraft.
  • Certification from the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR).
  • Leadership experience in a supervisory or management role.

JOB TITLE: Avionics Technician

We are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced avionics technician to join our team.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Running wires/cables, mounting antennas, connecting instruments for navigation and engine monitoring, installing radios, autopilots, passenger entertainment systems and configurations.
  • A technician that possesses great attention to detail and a strong working knowledge of advanced electronics and systems diagnostics. Ultimately, a top-notch avionics technician that has great manual dexterity, and experience with quality control analysis.
  • Installing and testing complex avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft.
  • Ensuring that all avionics equipment works properly before return to service and that they do not interfere with any other electronic device.
  • Removing, repairing, and re-installing any problematic avionics equipment before an aircraft is returned to service.
  • Performing intricate and highly reliable soldering on components.
  • Assembling and installing electrical components.
  • Providing accurate diagnoses of discrepancies noted.
  • Organizing ground support and test equipment.
  • Analyzing flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and study the operations of the electrical components.
  • Coordinating all work with Avionics manager, technicians, and aircraft maintenance crew.
  • Keeping detailed records of all repairs and work performed on the aircraft in accordance with the repair station guidelines.

AVIONICS TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 3 years of work experience with aircraft electrical systems installation/repair and with specific aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Certifications in electrical or aviation maintenance courses preferred.
  • Experience with systems such as NAV/COM, Autopilot, GPS, and RVSM.
  • An understanding of other aircraft systems, such as hydraulics and flight controls.
  • The ability to read and interpret schematics/blueprints.
  • Excellent analytical, attention-to-detail, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Steady hands and excellent eyesight.

JOB TITLE:  Helicopter Mechanic

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Familiar with using test equipment for track and balance. Theory of rotor system tracking and balancing for adjustments.
  • Interpreting Airworthiness Directives and Alert Service Bulletins for application on helicopters
  • Familiar with using measuring instruments such as dial calipers, micrometers, tensiometers, dial bore gauges, feeler gauges, and borescopes.
  • Adjustments and troubleshooting of engine parameters for oil pressure, Ng, temperature indication, and topping settings.
  • Familiar with common hand tools for applying torque to fasteners.
  • Keeping detailed records of all repairs and work performed on the aircraft in accordance with the repair station guidelines.
  • Inspect and repair aircraft according to strict safety guidelines set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or applicable regulatory body.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and perform diagnostic tests to identify hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions.
  • Consult maintenance blueprints, manuals, and other documents to assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Inventory aircraft parts, supplies, and equipment, and keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and other maintenance operations.
  • Complete tasks within allotted time frames and to FAA (or equivalent) and company standards.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and engineers to perform repairs and ensure aircraft are operating smoothly.

SKILLS:

  • Analytical mind with a penchant for troubleshooting.
  • Excellent math and computer skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for mechanics.
  • Manual dexterity and physical strength.
  • Extensive experience with power and hand tools, and knowledge of aircraft systems, mechanics, and parts.
  • Ability to make consistent and precise repairs under pressure.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience as a helicopter mechanic, with at least 2 years on designated helicopters (Airbus: AS350, EC130, EC135, EC145; Agusta:109, 119, 139; Bell: 206, 407, 429, 412, 505; MD: 500; Sikorsky: S76).
  • Working knowledge of blueprint reading, geometry, and trigonometry
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Familiarity with aviation maintenance manuals

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Airframe & Powerplant license
  • Inspection and Authorization License
  • Any OEM school training within the past 4 years
  • Experience working on commercial and military helicopter
  • Leadership experience in a supervisory or management role
